Thomas Laniplugh has returned from St. Mark's hospital is fast recovering from the effects of his recent accident. Mrs. Timothy G. Kinney returned to Spokane on Wednesday, after a pleasant pleas-ant two weeks' visit with Mrs. D. M. Brynn. Mr. and Mrs. Kinney are pioneer pio-neer residents of Spokane, Mr. Kinney being a prominent siockgrcwer. Miss Grace Sullivan has been ill for the past two weeks with la grippe. Mrs. Albert Fisher left on Saturdiy with her son Carl for a visit to Cali-fcrnia, Cali-fcrnia, Joseph Kinney, son of Hon. Timothy Kinney of Wyoming, was in the city during the past week. The young man has been practicing: law in Chicago for the past four years. P. J. Moran has gone to Chicago on business. F. J. West co tt was in Park City last week. Mr. and Mrs James I vers were in I 'ark City last week. Walker Salisbury is rapidly convalescing conva-lescing from his recent illness. Miss Ethel Partridge, who has been a guest of Miss Alverta Martin hi Los Angeles for a few weeks, returned to Salt Lake Monday. Mr. and Mi's. Fred Noble, who have been spending the holidays with W. P. Xoble and his daughters, will leave within a day or so for their home in Nevada. Dave McQueen and wife have returned re-turned from a two months' trip through the east, during which they visited rel-i rel-i tives in New York and Ohio. Mrs. Martha Royle King has issued invitations for a song recital to be given next' Wednesday evening, introducing intro-ducing her pupil. Miss Edith Godbe, v ith Miss Judith Evans assisting. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fitch and the Misses Lillian and Maude Fitch will leave next week for the east, and later will sail for the Bahama islands to be away for about two months. J. T. He will be away from Salt Lake for several months. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Noble and Mrs. Robert Gould Smith left Sunday. Mr. and Mis. Hall has gone to the coast for the remainder of the winter. -Mrs. Ernest Bamberger entertained at a delightful luncheon Wednesday ;:t the Aita club in honor of Mrs. Frances Piistorious, who is her guest. The Salt Lake Security & Trust company com-pany has in transit to this city three cars of Italian and Egyptian marble, valued at $20,000. for use n the construction con-struction of a special stairway from the main lobby of the company's offices to the deposit vaults in the basemen. The stavway ornamentation will be of the scroll work patterns and very elaborate elabor-ate and costly. Madam Charlton left oh Monday for Ney Yok, where she will spend a couple cou-ple of months. Word has reached here from Omaha, Neb., announcing the death of John B. Furay, which occurred in that city Wednesday, Jan. 16, of apoplexy. Mr. Furay was at one time connected with the postoffice department in the capacity capa-city of inspector and was well known throughout the west. He was a civil war veteran, having served as lieuten-ont lieuten-ont in the Eleventh Ohio" cavalry. His relatives in this city are Mrs. S. S. Cannon, his sister, and Mrs. C. H.
