Miss Ccr-tcr Ccr-tcr began with tvn introductory sketch of the life of the po;t. speaking ot "ililton the Man" and reading see-tiens see-tiens from his "Ode on the Nativity." Miss McCunc followed with a short sketch of "Miltoii the Author." and gave a number of readings especially from his "Address to Light." Both the ladies gave readings from " T Allegro Alle-gro an 11 Pcnseroso. and M"iss Carter sang a solo. The affair was given in the library and was attended by a number of visitors besides the members mem-bers of the lower classes and the faculty. fa-culty. The program was concluded with the reading of Wordsworth's sonnet son-net on Milton, which followed a critical critic-al study of "Paradise Lost" and a review re-view of the first two books in narative form.
