"Under Southern Skies" is one of the most complete productions that travels every scene and property used in the presentation is carried, also an electric outfit for the proper lighting- of the scenes. Thi3 play was seen by hundreds hun-dreds at the Park Opera house last Monday night J. M. McConnell, one of the employes em-ployes of the Fair store and cne of the popular Knights of Columbus, leftt last Saturday afternoon over the Midland for his homo in Salina, Kansas, for an extensive visit. Dr. J." W. Duffy of Palisade came down last Sunday to spend the day with Mr. Tom Knowles. Rev. T. M. Conway r-ad the yearly report of the church on last Sunday and it was certainly encouraging, both to Father Conway and the congregation, congrega-tion, to see such a vast improvement not only in one report, but in all over that of former years. Father Conway talked quite a little while on, the success suc-cess of Saint Joseph's church and complimented com-plimented both Catholics and non-, Catholics for their generosity. The I church is to be ready for the Foster1 services. And. to the untiring efforts of Father Conway is attributable the handsome church edifice, without debt The church will be consecrated by Bishop Matz of Denver. John I. Mullins of Denver, late judge of the district court, stopped over on bis way to Montrose to assist in the institution of the council of the Knights of Columbus of that place.
