The manuscript has become the property of the National library, and it is to be hoped that this important work will see the light. Meanwhile a work has just appeared in England by Miss Al-I Al-I ice Gardner, lecturer and associate of Newnham college, Cambridge, entitled "Studies In John the Scot (Erigena), a Philosopher of the Dark Ages." The Oxford University Press are the publishers. pub-lishers. It is curious that so little is known of so notable an Irishman, and the facts above noted seem to point to a revival of interest in him.
