Show Murray Visitor TJ. G. Miller of Murray, state supervisor of the state farm debt adjustment setup, was in Logan Wednesday night ito attend the regular monthly meeting of the local committee. Married in Idaho James E. Bench and Martha S. Bielanin, both 30, of Logan, have procured a marriage license at Twin Falls, Idaho, according to a repo-jt appearing in the Salt Lake Tribune, Wednesday. Garden City Services W. J. Harrison and family of Cove attended the funeral services in Garden City on Tuesday for the seven year old son of M)r. and Mrs. Arden Pope. Home from France Vaughan Pond, son of Mr. and Mi's. Preston Pond, has arrived home from France where he filled fill-ed a mission as an LDS missionary. In District Court I John H. Moser, contractor, and; A. J. Lundahl, dance hall manage, man-age, are having a legal battle in the district court. The suit was brought by Mr. Moser to recover money he contends is due him for repairing the Dansante south wing which separated from the' main building when snow piled oni it. In as much as ithe work was' originally done by Mr. Moser, the dance hall proprietor contends Mr. Moser should repair his work in a manner that it would! stay in (place. It is a Jury trial being heard before Judge Lewis Jones of the First district court. Kinfolk Meet j Mr. and Mrs. Elmo M. Curtis of Berkeley, California, have been in Logan this week to visit their son, ! Marvin Curtis, employee of Pay'n Takit. While here the visitor met his brother A. J. Curtis, whom he hasn't seen for 33 years. The Berkeley Ber-keley resident was a former resident resi-dent of Logan, having left here for the coast in 1911. Death Accidental Mose Hancey, coroner at Preston, Pres-ton, was in Logan Tuesday arid reported that the death of Fred Lamoreaux at Preston, Monday was accidental. That was the verdict ver-dict of Preston city officials. Mr. Lamoreaux was repairing a 22 calibre rifle when it accidentally discharged and killed the veteran locksmith and bicycle repair man instantly. Zollinger, county beautification chairman announces the beautification tour to be held Friday, May 27. Nielsen of Hyrum are happy over the ar-rical ar-rical of a 7 pound 7 ounce daughter dau-ghter born Sunday, May 22 at a Logan hospital. Mrs. Nielsen was formerly Miss LaRue Clark. The baby is the first grandchild of Mrs. Francis Clark of Hyrum and the first great grandchild of Miss Emil Anderson of Logan, and Mrs. Delia Clark of Salt Lake City. Westerholm Here L. Westerholm, former assistant cashier of the First National Bank, who is now residing in Los Angeles, An-geles, is a visitor in Logan. He will attend the commencement exercises at the college, following which he will take his wife and children back to the coast with him whene they will make their home. Mr. Owens Here J. A. Owens, manager of the Provo Herald and supervisor of several Scaipps League papers, including in-cluding the Herald-Journal at Logan, was a business visitor here Wednesday. He was visiting among Logan business men and incidentally inciden-tally instructing his local newspaper news-paper staff relative to policies in putting out their paper. Camp Will Meet The Ralph Smith camp of the daughters of Pioneers will hold their meeting Thursday at 2 p. m. at the home of Mrs. George Q. Baterpan. Mrs. Lydia Nyman will give the lesson on Indian Women Wo-men in the West and Indian Slavery Sla-very in the west. The assisting hostesses will be Mrs. Mable Chambers and Msr. DeEa Cron-quist. Arrived Safely Home Wilford Baugh, local automobile dealer, was safely at his home Wednesday, following a flight from Detroit to Salt Lake City, which took him from 12:05 p. m. Tuesday Tues-day until 9:35 p. m. the same evening. Had Mr. Baugh awaited the plane which followed the one he did take, he may have been in that horrible disaster that has already been reported in the press. Mr. Baugh took the local agency for Federal trucks while in Detroit. De-troit. Leland Hansen and Thomas, Lindley who accompanied him to the facitory, are driving four new trucks to Logan. Fire at College ! The Cache county fire depart-; ment made a run to College ward at 12:14 p. m. Tuesday. Children and matches started a blaze in a straw stack belonging to John H. Schenk. Qarff, Mgr. Slain in Twin Falls -. - The body of George L. Olson, 33, at Salt Lake City, a jewelry I salesman, known to the jewelry merchants of Logan, was brutally slain at Twin Falls some time last Saturday. His body was Ifound in the back seat of his automobile Tuesday, where it had' lain since the salesman was murdered three days before. Following the murder, the body of the salesman was placed- in the back seat of the . automobile and covered over. The , car was driven along side of a i hotel and parked. It was here the body was discovered. Mr. Olson is . survived by a wife and three i children residing in Salt Lake I City. Photographer Honored J , A distinct honor has been be- stowed upon W. Bennie Degn, local lo-cal engraver and photographer. He has been advised by the Photographers Pho-tographers Association of America with headquarters at Cleveland, Ohio, of his selection as a member mem-ber of the council of that organization organi-zation for 1938. He is secretary of the association and will attend 'the summer school conducted at I Winona Lake, Indiana, from June 1 20 to August 20.
