Show I Mr. and Mrs. Wells Anderson are I rejoicing over the arrival of a fine baby boy, born to Mrs. Anderson! Sunday. It's the f'rst heir to the Anderson estate, and the parents are supremely happy. Mother and son ! are do'ng fine. Mrs. Andrew Modeen was a charming charm-ing hostess Tuesday afternoon, when she entertained at a luncheon-bridge party at her home on East First South street. Following a hot luncheon lunch-eon served at one-thirty to sixteen guests, progressive bridge was enjoyed en-joyed until early evening. Mr. and Mrs. Don E. Pence and Mr. and Mrs. Harry LaPrelle, of San Fernando, Cal'f., were here Sunday evening and Monday as guests of Mrs. Lyda Duggins. The Californians visited Boulder dam and Bryce canyon can-yon enroute to Gunnison. On their return trip to their home they were accompanied by Mrs. Duggins, who plans to spend three weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Pence. Mr. and- Mrs. Shores Lovelace of Salt Lake, and son, Dean, were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. G. D. Peery Independence day. Friday the party went to F'shlake, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Peery, to spend the week-end. LOCAL ITEMS OF INTEREST Mr. and Mrs. Nolan Edwards and Mrs. Kate Salt of Ncphi, spent Independence In-dependence day in Gunnison and were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Edwards. i i Mr. and Mrs. Niel Sorenson and t Dr. and Mrs. S. S. Kunz, were here from Salt Lake to spend the Fourth of July. They were the house guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Gribble. j Frank EggcHsen, who has been I stationed at P-eaver as inspector on' state highway work, spent the Fourth of July in Gunnison with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. S. Eggertsen. Frank has been transferred to Monroe to work in the same capacity as he did in Beaver. Some twenty intimate friends of Mrs. Norman Johnson gathered at her home Monday afternoon and joined join-ed in celebrating her birthday anniversary. anni-versary. Auction bridge proved one of the enjoyable features. In the I card play first honors went to Mrs. i Cyril Beck, second to Mrs. Roy Ch'lds i and Mrs. Leda Childs received con- j solation. At five o'clock Mrs. Johnson served a dainty plate luncheon at, small tables. I Miss Von Neal Erickson, who snent a month at Salt Lake visiting with relatives and friends, returned to her home Sunday evening. |
