Due to the prevailance of influenza in the city and the fact that many of the club members are confined to their several homes, the attendance at the banquet ban-quet was not as large as had been ! expected. However, those present enjoyed a splendid time. Roast turkey tur-key was the piece de resistance, and with it was served cocktail, salads, cranberry sauce relishes, potoes, ; coffee dessert and other appetizing viands. More than an hour was spent at the banquet table and as no set program had been arranged, the evening was given over to a social time. Before adjournment a brief business session was -hald. at. which ' time tentative plans were outlined for ; the Christmas tree. No presents will , be distributed from the tree, but more , than likely a program of community singing, recitations and other features I befitting the occasion will be ar-' ar-' ranged. |
