Show Ancient Rivals To Clash In Gunnison Ancient rivals for supremacy in basket ball playing Gunnison and Manti will clash tonight in what is expected to be one of the fastest, classiest and hardest fought contests ever staged in the city. Manti is sending two teams, first and second, and Gunnison has crews of both classes clas-ses that are awaiting the coming. The' Gunnison quints, with confidence perched high on each player, have "pepped" up and are in the trim that will make the visitors wonder why. In fact, both of the Gunnison teams are "'just rarin' to go," and under" the direction of Coach Bradley, are fast and snappy and in the best of trim. The first teams will appear on the floor at seven sharp, and it is vitally important that "boasting" fans be at the high school early. Immediately Immediate-ly following the opener, the main event will start, and it promises to be a real combat. -Coach Bradley announces an-nounces the following players for the main contest: Edgar Nielson, Robert Gledhill, Tony Villard, Nolan Edwards, Ed-wards, Duane Tollestrup, Arnold Larson, Lar-son, Don Lund and Wilford Bauer. The game tonight is a pre-season event and while a battle for practice, there is sure to be some interesting playing, as the prowess of both gangs will be tested. Following the games, the visitors and customers will be entertained at a dancing party. It is expected a big crowd of Manti "rooters" will accompany accom-pany their "heroes." |
