Show Bank Embezzler Is Given Jail Sentence It took the courts less than two hours Wednesday of last week to handle han-dle the case of A. J. Bird, 56-year-old Richfield bank embezzler. Bird was arrested ar-rested and charged specifically with embezzling $1000 from the State Bank of Sevier. The man made a clean confession and admitted taking $-10,-452.17, his peculations having been applied during the past eight years. Bird was arrested at 2 o'clock Wednesday Wed-nesday by Sheriff Vein Fairbanks. He was immediately taken before S G. Clarke, justice of the peace, where he. Bird, entered a plea of guilty. Later Bird was taken before Judge ' N. J. Bates, district judge, where he also pleaded guilty.
