Show Road Patrolman Cautions Autoists Evading payment of auto licenses, doubling one license for two or more cars, riding on running boards or any place but the inside of automobiles, speeding on highways, and the general gener-al disregard for the state automobile licenses, is to be summarily stopped, according to Dan Jensen, state highway high-way patrolman. Mr. Jensen was in Gunnison Tuesday on his "beat" between be-tween Richfield and north Sanpete county on highway 89. Too many are overlookng the provisions pro-visions of the state laws regarding traffic and payment of licenses, Mr. Jensen stated, and it is the desire of the state highway commission to have the laws obeyed without force. Transfer Trans-fer of plates from one car or truck to another car or truck has been observed. ob-served. This is in direct violation, as the law provides. And even at this date of the year some autoists are running their cars with the 1931 license li-cense plates, or .without any at all. Those doing these things are running the gauntlet and are subject to arrest ar-rest and a fine. All we ask is fairness, Patrolman Jensen stated, and if careful care-ful driving along the highway is observed, ob-served, there will be less accidents and deaths. Observance of the licenses must be strictly adhered to. |
