Show Vernon A. Ferre j Deserts Bachelors The marriage of Miss Margaret Mack, daughter of Mrs. I,ab-1 Mack, and Vernon A. Ferre, son of Mr. and Mrs. C. K. Ferre, took plac.e Sunday, morning in the Salt Lake temples with Bishop Joseph Christensen officiating. ' A reception was held Monday eve-; ning in the Highland I'ark amusement hall, i'alms and ferns and baskets of i gladioli were used to decorate the hall. ! The bride wore a model of white j satin and lace with a long veil and in i cap effect and caught with clusters of j orange blos.-,oms. Miss Blanche Ferre, maid of honor, wore pink crepe and j carried pink roses. Miss Lois Bow-; man, bridesmaid, was gowned in blue ! taffeta, with a bouquet of pink sweat! peas. Miss Ruth Clayton, bridesmaid, wore green taffeta and carried pink! sweet peas. Another bridesmaid, Missj Ruth Bywater, wore a frock of yellow chiffon and carried a boquet of orchid sweet, peas. Jesse Ferre acted as best i man for his brother. Mrs. Carl An- I derson was in charge of the serving. ! She was assisted by the Beehive girls of Highland Park ward. The gift room was under the direction of Mrs. C. Kearnes Ferre, Mrs. Golden Oblad and Miss Rhea Ferre. Two hundred guests called during the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Ferre left late in the evening for a wedding trip to the canyons can-yons of Southern Utah. The bride's going away ensemble was black with matching accessories. The above, item, taken from a Salt Lake paper, will prove of unusual interest in-terest to the many friends of Vernon Ferre, who is a native of this city. The bridegroom attended the local schools and after his graduation was I occupied at various jobs. |
