Show Schools Will Open Next Monday; Normal Registration Is Expected New Additions to High School Will Be Aid to Visual Education Term Is Set for Thirty-Four Weeks. Next, Monday morning hundreds of students of Gunnison valley will be called from the long vacation and will assemble to again take up their studies stu-dies at the various schools which they will attend during the 1933-34 term. It has been announced that the term for this year will be for eight and a half months, or approximately a full term, with the exception of the beet vacation. School buildings and rooms i have undergone the usual cleaning method and when teacher and student gather for the opening, all will be spick and span for their reception. Students will register on the opening day, Monday, and Tuesday regular class work will be started. A new feature at the high school this year will be visual education, for which a new room has been provided. Screens, curtains, especial lighting and projectors have been installed for this feature of study, according to Principal Leo Bardsley. The idea of visual education is to give students additional advantages in education by a closer contact with events as they actually occur. Besides the Gunnison high school, Ephraim, Manti and Snow college will be equipped with similar outfits, and the films obtained obtain-ed from eastern educational institutions institu-tions will be passed from one school to another, thus providing the system to be used at the several schools. ' Throughout the nation the "visual"' system has been adopted, and has. been found to bring splendid results.
