Wt-ods, former ambassador ambassa-dor to Japan, w is the principal speaker speak-er at the reci nt convention of the Pennsylvania department of the Legion Le-gion held at Gri-ensburg. Mr. Woods had been asked o discuss his experiences experi-ences in Japan during the earthquake, at the time of the triple disaster. He elected to discuss the heroic work of the men of the Anlerlcan Legion post at Tokyo, in the frightful times following fol-lowing the disaster. To Colonel Burnett, head of the American Legion in Tokyo, Mr. Woods attributes the saving of his life and also the lives of his wife and his wife's mother.
