Show Prominent Couple Married Wednesday , A marriage which will proveof interest in-terest to many of Gunnison, and in which two popular young society people and natives of this city were the princiapls, was performed at the Salt Lake temple yesterday, when Miss Stella May Duffin, daughter of William Duffin, and Harold J. Lewis, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lewis of this city, were united in the holy bonds of matrimony. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis will make thier home at Salt Lake where Mr. Lewis is employed. The bride is well and favorably known here and at Salt Lake. She was born in Gunnison and attended the high school. Some six years ago she went to New York City and unt'.l her return a few months ago, she studied music, becoming highly effi- cient and accomplished as a pianist. Mr. Lewis, who is also well known throughout Southern Utah, is a promnising young business man. He ' was born here in this city and also attended the high school of the city. A few years ago he became be-came a clerk in the National City bank and later did clerical work at the Gunnison Valley bank of this city. About a year ago he accepted a position as a floor clerk for the Continental Con-tinental National bank at Salt Lake. His worth was noticeable and he advanced ad-vanced rapidly and his employers soon advanced him until today he is occupying the position as teller in the bank. Mr. and Mrs. Lewis have hosts of warm friends here and elsewhere who will, join in wishing them prosperity and happiness. |
