Show Famous Singers Will Visit City Lovers of high class music of Gunnison Gun-nison will be delighted to know that the Royal Welsh Gleemen, famed, famed throughout the west as one of the most talented aggregation of singers on the road, will play en engagement en-gagement here Monday, November the 10th. The arrangement of the engagement en-gagement is being supervised by Principal Prin-cipal Leo D. Bardsley and the faculty and students of the Gunnison Valley high school, backed by the Gunnison Lions club and the citizens. The Royal Welsh Gleemen made a tour of the southern section some two years ago, but only Manti and Richfield were played and he citizens are fortunate in securing the opportunity of hearing the famed singers. The engagement will be staged at the Casino theatre. In the troupe comprising the Royal Welsh Gleemen are fourteen artists direct from Wales. Dr. Joseph Bowen, musical director, is one of the instructors in the Royal College of Music at London, England, and Prof. Gethin B. Davies, solo pianist and accompanist, is an associate of the same college. The program that will be given in Gunnison will be in two parts and comprises some of the best music. Welsh melodies by ihe cnoir, vocal and piano solos and classic will be among the repertoire. |
