UTAH I Salt Lake, San Francisco, Boise, Butte and Pocatello are the four possible pos-sible convention cities for the sixtieth annual convention of the National Wloolgrowers' association in 1925, F. R. Marshall, secretary of the association, associa-tion, has announced. The annual con vention will be held some time during dur-ing the last two weeks in January with the dates and the convention city to be named by the national executive execu-tive committee at its meeting early in November. Ogden, The United States department depart-ment of agriculture, through the forest for-est service, has some thousands of deer to give away, according to an announcement made Tuesday by District Dis-trict Forester R. H. Ruthledge of the intermountain district. Mt. Pleasant, Alden Simons suffered suf-fered a badly broken leg when he jumped from his wagon. Mr. Simon's earn had become frightened and was running away, and Simons, hoping to escape injury, jumped and suffered the breaking of his leg in three places in falling. Logan, More than 200 students representing four grade schools in the county have entered the essay contest being conducted by the Cache county farm bureau, and indications are that more than 1000 school children chil-dren will have entered the contest before the closing date, it was1 announ ced by farm bureau officials. The contest is being conducted by the county farm bureau and the various vari-ous locals through the schools on the topics "Why Dad Should Join the Farm Bureau" and "Why Dad Is a, Member of the Farm Bureau." Reports Re-ports from some of the schools in Lewiston, Trenton, Providence and Richmond indicate n intense interest n the contest. Payson, The schools of Payson are closed two weeks that the students may help the farmers in the sugar beet harvest. The local factory is running to capacity and the farmers are in the midst of the harvest. Potatoes Po-tatoes are also being dug, the younger young-er children being able to assist in this work. Salt Lake, Receipts of the state fish and game department for the quarter which, ended September 30 amounted to $46,371.11, according to a report made to the state treasurer by D. H.
