Show Two Needed To Serve On RAC In So. Utah There are two openings for people to serve on Regional Wildlife Advisory Councils (RACs) in southern Utah. The councils he"ar wildlife management proposals from the Division of Wildlife Resources, take public input about the proposals pro-posals and make recommendations recommenda-tions to the Utah Wildlife Board about which proposals they feel the board should approve. One opening is for a person to represent environmental or nonconsumptive interests on the Southeastern RAC in southeastern southeast-ern Utah. The nonconsumptive position is open to everyone, including people who hunt, fish, trap or participate in other consumptive-oriented recreational activity. activi-ty. The second opening is for a person to represent sportsmen groups involved with hunting, fishing, trapping or other consumptive-oriented recreation on the Southern RAC in southwestern southwest-ern Utah. The sportsmen position posi-tion is open to everyone, including includ-ing people who participate in nonconsumptive-oriented recreation recre-ation activities. Groups must submit nominations nomina-tions by Sept. 3. Nomination forms are available at the Division of Wildlife Resources' Web site (www.wildlife.utah.govpdfrac nominationform.pdf). In addition to submitting a form for each person nominated, groups should also supply information infor-mation explaining why each nominee would make a good RAC member. "The Southeastern RAC meets about 10 times annually and most of the meetings are-held are-held in Green River.
