Show First Security Funds School Insurance For the eighth consecutive year, First Security has announced an-nounced it will fund catastrophic insurance for Escalante High School students involved in sports and other activities. The donation will be formally presented by Escalante Es-calante First Security Bank Manager, Man-ager, Marlene Stowe, during one of the first basketball games. During the 1990's, First Security Secu-rity has spent more than $1 million mil-lion to provide catastrophic injury coverage to students participating in, or en route to, Utah High School Activities Association sanctioned events. Sanctioned activities include baseball, basketball, bas-ketball, cross country, drill, cheer, track, volleyball, wrestling, wres-tling, and music. This year, First Security will fund coverage for 60,000 Utah high school students involved in such activities. The insurance provides income and medical care for life in the event of a serious seri-ous injury to a student. "We are extremely grateful to First Security for providing this vital comfort to the families and participants of high school activities," activi-ties," said Jerry Bovee, associate director of the Utah High School Activities Association. "We would not be able to afford this costly program without this contribution, con-tribution, which illustrates First Security's commitment to the school children of this state." Marlene Stowe and the entire staff at Escalante First Security are very much appreciated by the parents and students of EHS. They are involved in several partnership part-nership activities throughout the year, which provides both funding and personnel support. |
