Show 1 Tropic Ifcy;i By Louise Ott 679-8776 Franz and Margaret Shakespear, along with their mother Marian Mecham, attended the wedding in the St. George LDS Temple of Roland and Pamela Pam-ela Miles. Mary Lee Ramsay was in Kanab helping Dennis and Brenda Shakespear when their son Bo had surgery on his arm. Mary Lee said she really enjoyed the time spent with granddaughter JayCee. Lacy Edwards spent the holiday holi-day weekend at the Max Stewarts. They were all busy helping Shawn and Kim get moved into their home in Esca-" lante. Kim is teaching Kindergarten Kindergar-ten there. They purchased the Glade Stewart trailer. Lacy and Phyllis managed to get some quilts made also. JaNell Cook will be heading home after spending six weeks with her mother Sara Littlefield. She has nursed her back to health and is a ray of sunshine to everyone every-one around her. Her brother Steve will bring Rose Olson down and exchange her for JaNell, Dixie Shakespear reports that her children took her to Las Vegas, Ve-gas, Nev. where she was able to have a great visit with sister and brother-in-law Clella and Norm Littlefield. The rest of the family went on to Disneyland. Dixie said she had been there twice and would rather spend time with her sister.' Clella and Norm are doing a lot better and said to tell every "hello and hope to be able to come and visit soon". (See TROPIC on page 3-A) 1 Tropic News From page 2-A Dixie also went to Kanab to attend a musical play with her children. Verlyn Munson had some tests in St. George recently and will be going back for some more. Visiting Silas Munson were Don and Dixie Munson from Kearns. Don took his father fishing fish-ing at Pine Lake. They managed to catch some fish this time. Visiting Vis-iting Alan Munson were his son John and daughter Sharon and son-in-law Doug Hess and children chil-dren Charlie and Amanda from Roy. Bret Taylor blessed his son Colby Richard on Sunday. There were a lot of family members in attendance. There were 10 in the circle with grandfathers, uncles and friends. There were many visitors in church over the Labor Day weekend: week-end: Fred Olson and family were here. He is the son of Rose and the late Garn Olson of Orem. Garnel and Peggy Pollock, son of Glenna and Adrian Pollock as well as many others. Clive and Thelma Bybee spent the holiday at Fish Lake where all of their family was together. to-gether. Connie Douglas said that her parents from Misouri had been here visiting. Kent, Kenneth and Rhett Wintch flew to Denver, Colo, as guests of their daughter and sister, Pam Spencer. She provided tickets tick-ets for them to attend a Denver Broncos and Dallas Cowboy's football game held at the Mile High stadium in Denver. She gave them a choice of what team they wanted to see play. Betty said she was invited also but is not a football fan and plans on staying close to home and working work-ing on projects that she has had for sometime. Gayle and Marie Pollock and family spent a few days with Marie's family in Orem: Louise Ott was in Cedar City attending grandson Nathan's football game. She had a great visit with son True and family as well as the Jody Edwards family. Granddaughter Aubri is taking dancing. She said: "You put your feet together, walk your feet out until you have a piece of pie". Marie Barton visited in Cedar City overnight. She brought her mother Mary Mendenhall back for a few days of visiting. Reuben Burgess, Circleville, visited with his aunt Minnie Niel-son, Niel-son, helping her with a lot of things she needed done. Scott Worthen, Safford, Ariz, was in touch recently. We are having some beautiful rains lately. Hopefully, no hay is down or ruined. John Henry and Joni Lyn Mecham took their fifth wheel to Cedar Breaks recently to celebrate cele-brate their anniversary. Joni said they had a wonderful time, hiked the area and saw many beautiful, places. Visiting them over the weekend was LaRue and Dave Berry and children from Wellington. Welling-ton. LaRue and John Henry are brother and sister. It was a great visit for all. Douglas Ahlstrom had surgery in Cedar City. |
