Show 4 Antimony Elementary student Stephanie Robinson was the winner win-ner of the 2nd Annual Hoodoo Poster Contest sponsored Ly Bryce Canyon National Park. Antimony Girl Wins BCNP Poster Contest BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL NATION-AL PARK A student at Antimony Elementary was one of Several winners in Bryce Canyon National Park's 2nd Annual Hoodoo Poster Contest, sponsored spon-sored as part of the education outreach program at the park. Students from all Garfield and Kane County schools, from Kindergarten up to 6th grade, were allowed to enter the contest and create a poster, encouraging tourists in the area to have a safe trip and to help keep the surrounding sur-rounding areas wonderful places to see. In the Kindergarten through 2nd grade division, Kanab Elementary student Rebecca Motola won with her poster message "Stay On The Trails." Stephanie Robinson, a fourth grader at Antimory Elementary, took first place in the 4th - 6th grade division. Her message to area visitors was "The park is beautiful when you don't litter." The winner in the 5th-6th grade division was Samantha Hamblin, a 6th grader at Kanab Elementary, with her entry "Don't stand under trees during lightning storms." The winner of each division was presented with a certificate and a $50 savings bond. Their poster entries will be published in the "Hoodoo," a park service newspaper that is available to visitors who come and visit. |
