Show By Nancy S. Twitchell The overwhelming majority of Cannonville residents had an uneventful unev-entful week, the highlight of which was decorating those Christmas trees gathered up last week. Several still are trying to get back on their feet after fighting recurring bouts of flu. Doing some essential Christmas shopping between rodeo events were Ethel and Marty Rich, Rita and Monte Twitchell, Mae and Ar-jean Ar-jean Twitchell, Cheryl and Lonnie Pollock, KayLynn and Zeke Nielsen, Jeanncne and Vance Pol-Jpck Pol-Jpck and,cousins Cherrie Pollock and Chantel Pollock. All these folks gathered over the weekend to ' attend the National Finals Rodeo competition held in Las Vegas, Nev. and thoroughly enjoyed one another's company. Some other close friends, actually actual-ly family, Gloria and Doyle Clark and Fred and Tonya Syrett also got together to shop in Cedar City on Friday, then off to the Bryce Valley basketball game in Milford. Robert Fletcher, now attending Utah Valley Community College and a member of the choir there, performed in a Christmas concert last Saturday evening. It seems his siblings there in Provo needed some assistance with their broken down vehicle.. .so Dad to the rescue, Alma Fletcher, hopped up there to Provo, attended the concert and got the troops back on the road. Congratulations and great going to Gerald and Dawn Stock who marked the occasion of their 15th wedding anniversary with a special dinner for two at Ruby's Inn. Richard and LouJean Leaviu and sons Cody and Jeff traveled here from Henderson, Nev. for a weekend week-end visit and even got to catch the PanguitchBryce Valley basketball game on Saturday. Mickey and Misty Mathews brought their dad, David Mathews to Cannonville on Sunday for a quick one-day visit with the families fami-lies of his brothers Ben and John. |
