' The Southern Utah University's Media Masters recognized four Panguitch Elementary youth at their first annual Young PANGUITCH Four young 4th and 5th grade students from Panguitch Elementary were selected se-lected and honored at the First Annual An-nual Young Scholars Banquet held at Southern Utah University recently re-cently The students Matt Black, son of Joe and Evelyn Black; Katie Cooper, daughter of Jimmy and Kathleen Cooper; Nathan Houston, son of John and Diane Houston and Cassidy McCullough, daughter of Bob and Jill McCullough were each introduced and awarded a tee shirt and plaque. This entirely new program at SUU was conceived by Jason White, SUU Student Association President . White is a member of the prestigious Media Masters organization or-ganization which is comprised of the top students in the communications communica-tions field at SUU. He and co-committee co-committee members devised this program in an attempt to promote public relations between SUU and the community and overall to recognize rec-ognize young students of achievement achieve-ment in their early years of development. devel-opment. According to Tucker, the Young Scholar program was so well conceived con-ceived and accepted that the SUU administration has chosen to keep the program going and fully fund the effort each year from SUU's budget. |
