Show Former Panguitch Native Named Ton Teacher 1994 PANGUITCH Former Panguitch Pan-guitch native, Lana H. Hiskcy, who currently teaches at Springvillc High School, was named Slate Marketing Teacher of the Year for 1994. She was presented the award by the J.C. Penny Company at the annual state convention of the Distributive Dis-tributive Education Club of America Amer-ica on Mar. 2. She was selected by a panel of judges representing both that national na-tional retail chain and marketing teachers. Cited for her "dedication to her students, that showed no less than a passion," she was also commended com-mended for her "enthusiasm which was contagious" and for the success ' of her students. They further expressed ex-pressed "with drive, commitment, leadership and successes like hers; there is no question that Lana Hiskey is the Marketing Teacher of the Year." In recognition of this achievement achieve-ment she received a plaque and a S500 cash award, as well as a trip io a Conclave Conference in North Carolina. v. ?! - : ! - Lana II. Hiskey Mrs. Hiskcy is the DECA Marketing Mar-keting Club Advisor and teacher Marketing I, Marketing II, Word Processing II, and Desktop Publishing Publish-ing at Springvillc High School. She thoroughly enjoys teaching and living liv-ing in such a nice community and relates that "the best part about my career is working with such wonderful won-derful colleagues and teaching the most incredible students!" Hiskcy graduated as valedictorian valedicto-rian from Panguitch High School and Summa Cum Laudc from Southern Utah University wiLh a composite major in Business Education Edu-cation and Marketing Certification. She is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Grant Houston, Panguitch, wife of Bruce R. Hiskcy and the mother of two children, Kclscy and Houston. Hous-ton. They reside in Spanish Fork. |
