Show PHS Grad Stacee Yardley Voted SUUSA President PANGUITCH Stacee Yard-ley, Yard-ley, a junior attending Southern Utah University was sworn Tuesday, Mar. 22 at the president of the SUU Student Association. In the primary elections, Yard-ley's Yard-ley's "You and I" party faced two other parties. One party was eliminated elimi-nated in the primaries and Yardley's party went on to capture 1 1 out of 15 SUU student government seats in the final elections. Asked about the campaign she stated, "I could not be more happy. I'm so proud of everyone in our party. It was very competitive, but a clean and fun campaign." Yardlcy said the main goals of her government are to involve as many new students as possible in student oriented activities, and to establish better communication between the campus' various student stu-dent offices. Yardley is a 1991 graduate of Panguitch High School, where she was the class valedictorian. She is currently working on a composite degree in business education with a t : t l ' ' . l J Stacee Yardley marketing emphasis at SUU and will graduate in 1995. She has consistently con-sistently been on the Dean's List for academic achievement. She has also been a student senator, sen-ator, chairperson of the College Republicans, Re-publicans, vice president and public relations director of the Phi Beta Lambda business fraternity and an officer in the Lambda Delta Sigma sorority. She is a daughter of John and Pamela Yardley of Panguitch and granddaughter of long-time state representative James Yardlcy. |
