Show : Hatch Happenings Velma Huntington 735-4235 Mr. and Mrs. Orlas Riggs visited in Salt Lake City with the Leslie Footes and the Duard Riggs and accompanied them to sacrament, meeting where Duard Riggs was ordained a high priest and set apart as the LDS bishop of the Bennion 2nd Ward. They met for dinner at the Duard Riggs home with his brother and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Riggs. Speakers in sacrament meeting were Kent Wilson, Dean Kitchen, and Newell Kitchen. A special song was sung by Nelda Campbell, accompanied on the piano by Joyce Gordon. K The Daughters of ,Utah Pioneers held their meeting Wednesday in the museum and quilted a quilt for Shannon Clark Attending the meeting and visiting relatives in town were Shannon Clark and Velta Sawyer, Kanab; Jason Sawyer, Fredonia and Gai Wilcock, Panguitch. Visiting during the weekend at the Lynn Evans were Delin Crofts, Vernal; Si Croft, Price; Millard Riding, American Fork; Nida Pollock, Panguitch; the Kelly Barnhursts, Henderson, Nev.; the Ervin Jensens, Las Vegas; Kevin Crofts, Panguitch; Dwayne Davis, Beaver and the Clark Evans, Hurricane. Lucille Evans, Mike Evans and Cory Evans, Logdandale spent several days at their home here and visited relatives and friends. Elizbeth Barton is here visiting Mr. and Mrs. Layton Barney. The Craig Barneys visited her folks in Salt Lake City for the weekend. Robert Pearson, Panguitch was an overnight visitor with Lewis Barney. The long weekend visitors at the LaMar Barneys were the Dennis Daltons, Las Vegas. They also visited the Grant Daltons. Other visitors at the Daltons were Wayne Stubbs, Parowan; the Gilbert Clarks, Kanab and the Bruce Daltons, Panguitch. They all went to Red Point for a family steak fry where the Dennis Daltons joined them. Mr. and Mrs. Kelley Dix and Steven Dix visited several days in St. George. Mr? and Mrs. Nile Sawyer visited in Salt Lake City, Orem and Spring City with relatives. Visiting the Nile Sawyers and the David Sawyers were Mr. and Mrs. Dunk Findlay, Kanab; the Kent Sawyers, Cedar City and Amberly Roberts and Kenna Roberts, Antimony. The Sawyers visited in Antimony Saturday to take the girls home. Visiting the Garth Heaps several days was Paula Sawyer, Cedar City. Weekend visitors were the Wallace Heaps; the Ivor Riggs and Mr. and Mrs. Brian Graf and new baby all Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Heap visited in Cedar City during the week where Theora attended a kitchen shower for Linette Sawyer, her granddaughter. Beth Weideman and Ann Reeves, Nevada visited Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Wilson. Visiting Lilith Wilson were the Kent Wilsons, Parowan and the Karl Wilsons, St. George. A kitchen shower was held in the Relief Society room at the chapel for Kimberli Evans. Lori Beebe, Escalante came from Escalante to help. Eddie Hamblin, Springerlake, Ariz, visited at the Bob Evans home. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Lowder visited in Cedar City. Visiting them for the memorial weekend were Phillip Croft, Orderville; LaRee Burrows, Fredonia; Mr. and Mrs. Vay Sawyer and Veneta Sawyer, Kanab and Jason Sawyer, Fredonia. Visiting in town are Kenneth Mack and Cassie Mack, Calif, and Melissa Mack, Logan. Visiting Abbie Fallis were Mr. and Mrs. Francis Simons, and Tanya Simons, Idaho and Janette Fallis, Provo. The Dennis Hendersons, Nevada attended church and visited friends. |
