Show Fishtail Twirlers Slate Jamboree Panguitch square dancers, the Fishtail Twirlers, are finishing preparations this week for their annual Square Dance Jamboree this Friday and Saturday. Special guest caller from eastern Kansas, Bill Hale, was lined up almost a year ago to be featured at this annual dinner dance festivity. For a special package price of $18 square dancers can dance to varied selections of invited guest callers from 8 -to 11 p.m. in the Panguitch High school Gym. Master of ceremonies for the evening will be Panguitch favorite, Bert Leach, with surrounding area callers on the agenda including Bruce Bown, Manti; Kathy and Dave Busker, Monroe; Linda Hinton, Hurricane; Ralph Rawlinson and Dee Carter, both of Cedar City and Ron Sowash of Las Vegas. On Saturday activities include a workshop plus two featuring Bill Hale from 3 to 5 p.m. also in the Panguitch High School Gym. The workshop will be followed at 5:30 p.m. a pit bar-b-qued beef dinner catered by Frank Henrie of Panguitch. Saturday's main dance will begin at 8 p.m. with spectators from the area encouraged to come join in the fun of the two day's events. Refreshments will be at both evening dances. |
