Show NATIONAL FOREST TIMBER SALE NATIONAL FOREST TIMBER SALE, DIXIE NATIONAL FOREST, ROGER PEAK SALVAGE SALE, located within T33S, R2E, Sees. 16, 21, 22, 15, 14, 11, 2, 1, 12. T33S, R3E, Sec. 1; T32S, R3E, SEc. 31, Garfield County, Utah. The Escalante Ranger District, Dixie National Forest, will accept bids for an estimated 145.45 Mbf of salvage, right-of-way timber on the Hells Backbone Road reconstruction project. The timber is valued at minimum salvage rate of $5.00 Mbf. (Total lump sum of $727.25.) SEALED bids for the minimum amount will be received at the Escalante District Ranger's Office at 2:00 p.m., local time on Thursday, August 20, 1981. Oral bidding will take place Immediately after bid opening. The timber has been bucked, skidded, and decked along the right-of-way. All that remains to be done is loading and hauling. The successful bidder must restrict his activities as not to interfere with the road contractor's operations. Hauling will be allowed only when the contractor is not working or at the contractor's convenience. A $500 performance bond will be required. Publi5hed in the Garfield County News, August 6. 1981. |
