Show Pangutich Ladies Fast Pitch team members pose along with coaches and display both a 2nd place trophy and overall "league" trophy. Panguitch Fast Pitch Ladies Bring Home 2nd The annual ladies fast-pitch softball tournament was held in Beaver July 31-Aug. 2 with Panguitch coming home with a beautiful 2nd place trophy. Minersville and Milford each had a team with Beaver sponsoring three making a total of 6 teams participating. Thursday, Panguitch met up with hard-hitting Milford, who had led the other teams in wins until the very last of the PAienn DnnAliilnk nl n ml exceptionally well and out lasted Milford 26-16. The winner of this game drew an automatic bye for the next day and was scheduled to play for championship Saturday night. This game was played against Beavers Firmage and Bradshaw team who had played errorless games the two previous nights. Both teams played very well. Panguitch never led but hung in the game all the way losing by three, 10-13. When the trophies were being awarded following the game, Panguitch was ' surprized as well as excited to receive the sportsmanship trophy for 1 lAirftiA u lvalue piojr. The team is sponsored by Pangtuitch S&C Merc and coached by Kelly Holman and Mike Baldwin. Team members include: Heidi Miller, LaRae Nay, Carol Orton, Sherrie Burningham, Carolyn Owens, Pam Yardley, Collette Nay, Trudi Owsens, Debbie Hatch, Machete Holman, Randi Miller and Beth Brinkerhoff. |
