Show Nine Contestants Seeking Wiss Garfield County' Title on August 14 TROPIC Nine girls will vie for the title of Miss Garfield County in the annual pageant August 14 at 8 p.m. at Bryce YaNey High School. This year's contestants are Cherie Crosby, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Crosby, Panguitch, who is Kathy Vardley sponsored by SUE Market and whose talent portion of the pageant will be a piano solo; LaCinda Frandsen, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan Fransen, Panguitch, sponsored by Panguitch Floral and Gift, whose specialty is dancing; Marilyn Ott, 17, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Stan Ott, Tropic spon- Cherie Crosby Patsy Willis sored by Country Corner, who will perform a piano solo; Brenda Lee Ramsay, J8, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clare Ramsay, Tropic, sponsored by Ahlstrom's Texaco and Doug's Cafe, who will give a reading and dance; Colleen Leland, 17, daughter of Mr and Mrs. Don Mosier, Escalante, sponsored Brenda Lee Rarov by the Horizon Club, who will perform a dance routine. Also competing will be Beverly Wilis, 19, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kay Wilis, Henrieville, sponsored by Ruby's Inn, whose talent is singing; Patsy Willis, 19, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dewey Willis, sponsored by Bryce ' TamralWItt Revelry J. Willis Canyon Lodge, who will perform a dance routine; Tammi Witt, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Evans, Cannonville, sponsored by Bryce-Zion Trail Rides who will also dance; and Kathy Yardley, 17, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John S. Yardley, sponsored by Kaibab Industries, who will perform a LaCinda Frandsen piano solo. All the girls will participate in swimsuit competition, evening gown competition, review of scholarship, and talent competition. The contest functions under official Miss America guidelines.
