Show J a mm Arthur Alvey JamM Arthur BOULDER James Arthur Alvey, 94, died July 1, 1978 at a Orem medical center. He was bom June 7, 1884. Escalante, to William and Elizabeth Heaps Alvey Jr. He married Emma Jane Davis on April 20, 1905, later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on Oct. 27, 1910. She died July 23, 1962 He was a cattleman and rancher; settled at Boulder in 1919; worked for the state road 15 years maintaining dirt road between Boulder and Escalante and was a high priest in the LDS Church. Survivors: sons, daughters; Cecil, Boulder; Wallace, Lyman; Sterling, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Gayle L., Sandy; Mrs. Owen (Neta) Wooley, Orem, Mrs. Jim (Ruby) Myers, Panguitch; Mrs. Otto (Idona) Haws and Mrs. Lorin (Uvada) Moosman, both Boulder; 22 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, 17 great - great - grandchildren; sisters; Mrs. Dolly Muhlestein, Provo and Mrs. Lily Muhlestein, Price. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Boulder Ward LDS Chapel where Bishop Vard Coombs officiated. Wanless Alvey gave the family prayer and Gladys LeFevre played prelude and postlude music. Purcell Alvey offered the invocation. Speakers were Ray L. Moosman and Bishop Gerald Mathews with remarks by Bishop Vard Coombs. Music included a duet by Florene Preston and Ida Church, piano solo by Walter J. Tasker and musical selection by the men's chorus. The benediction was offered by Ivan Lyman. Burial was in the Boulder Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, where Bishop Lewis Myers offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Cecil J Alvey, Gayle Alvey, ! Wallace Alvey, Sterling Alvey, Otto Haws and Owen Wooley Honorary pallbearers were Daniei Cowles, Lorin Moosman, Reeves Baker, Jim Myers and Wanleas Alvey. J. Kltton (iloivr Funeral services for J.
