Show Boulder Looks At Zoning For Community BOULDE :l Representatives of the Five County Association met with Boulder City council to make a list of 10 items to be presented to Boulder residents to get their opinions of what a zoning ordinance should consist of. "Many people shy away from the word zoning, Vivian Crosby, mayor of Boulder said. "We would rather call it a planning committee." The people of Boulder are concerned about health and safety and in keeping a rural atmosphere here, she said. They hope to preserve it with a zoning ordinance. The main concern for residents is having a zoning law prohibiting the sale of small parcels of land to avoid having six trailer houses sitting on a 100 foot parcel of land, for example. Besides working on zoning, the council is following through with the park project and working on the three phase power system, which should double the amount of water available to residents. |
