Howard Nielsen has been released as young mer's MTA pres . and priest ud - r . and Carl Shakespear will take his place. Mr. and Mrs. Chick McGowan, former seminary teacher, and his family, spent the weekend with the Kay Mangums. Garnell Pollock and family and Darlene LeFevre and family visited with the Adrian Pollocks. Mary Jo Barton and family, and Mr. and Mrs William Shakespear and children spent the weekend with the Alton Shakespears. The E. R Shakespears with sons Danny and Rhett and families, at tended the Bryce Canyon reunion. The LaMar Feltners had Mile and Josie Riddle and her brother from Tooele, as weekend guests. Tammy Feltner spent a few days this past week in Phoenix, Ariz., with her grandparents Abraham. Alyson and Darlene Van Wyk were weekend visitors In Tropic and with the Bob Otts in Bryce Canyon. Wendy Wilson, Eugene and Elaine Johnson. Elna and Lester Carson, were visitors in Tropic Stake Priesthood meeting will he held at 7 a m in Kscalante The Young Adults enjoyed a special Hobo party at Cooks Ranch Transportation was on a hay wagon. The Richard Meehams had daughter Amelia and family ns visitors Ward Mangum and family and Richard Hohson and two children, visited with India Mangum over the weekend. They also visited brothers Paul and Kay Mangum. and attended the Bryce Reunion. Cameron John Mecham, small son of Mr. and Mrs John Mecham was given a name and blessing in sacrament meeting by Stanley Mecham. Mr and Mrs Mark Bybee and family are visiting with Ella Bybee this week Vern Shakespear was in Salt Lake City this past week for a medical checkup Henry Jolley, David Frost and Howard Nielsen are enrolled at the BYU this summer, Katy Frost is teaching in the Upward Bound Program in Cedar City. Eleven persons from - Tropic attended the Senior Citizens dinner in Escalante Saturday night. It's too bad that more did not attend and enjoy the good time that was held. Minerva Dutton is home from the hospital and would enjoy visitors. Eldon "Dutch" Brinkerhoff is a patient in the hospital in Panguitch Irene Munson also spent a few days there this past week The IjiMar Shakespear family and Fred Guiterrex families are at the Eldon Brinkerhoff home Suzann Griffin and family are at the Charley Wintch home. Bill and Stacey Pollock and daughters are at the l.n m Pollock home for a visit. Word was received of the death of Bertha Adair Kimball, a former Tropic resident She was buried in Salt take City June 29 The WeJdon IeFevre family visited with his mother Amplus LeFevre. The Reginald Stewarts were in Salt take City for a medical checkup. Malen Mecham took his wife Angelyn to Provo for a medical check up on her heart. The George Wilsons and Alton Shakespears were in St. George during the week. Mr. and Mrs. Clem Johnson and Mr. and Mrs Sherman Asay were in grand Canyon and visited with their missionary Jay while there. The Bart Palmer family is visiting with the Afton f Jlocks for a few days. Clare Ramsay was home for the weekend. Mary Lee accompanied him to Los Angeles. Elizabeth Barton had her daughters Fonetta Barney and Dorene Weeks and family as gueatt. Michele Torrea visited with Beatrice Barton Viola Marshall had her son and family home over the weekend The Dextera and Charley Franciacos enjoyed a few days at Ixrwer Bounds fishing the forepart of the week Lois Eckereley it staying with her mother, Minerva Dutton. until she is more improved from her illness Mavis and Andy Strebble and family visited with the Obie Shakespears. Several of the Tropic people attended the funeral services in Panguitch for Mr taFevre Effie and Dale Shephetd visited with her brothe s Hermon and Owen Shakespear this past week Lynn Allen and family visited with the Royal Alveys and Truie Allen. Word has been received that Elder Bant Barton is now able to use crutches and is out of the hospital in New Zealand. We were all happy to see "grandpa Waldie" in Tropic the forepart of the week, he visited with Verdella and Minnie Nielsen and the Herman Pollocks. Doyle Jolley and family were in Tropic and attended the Bryce reunion. The tarry Adair family spent the weekend with the Arnold Adairs The Norman Lit tleflelds made a trip to Wyoming to bring their daughter Judean and family to Tropic. Several of the Tropic people have been tick with the intestinal flu The Jim Thomas' made a trip to Cedar City to see their daughter Nancy and daughter. Coy and Carol Porter from Provo spent a day visiting with the Matetand Baugh family Her sister Rhode and family from Thatcher, Ariz, also visited with them, and their son Todd is staying with the Baughs for a few days. Paula and Gregg Richards were home for the weekend holiday. Or lan Ruesch had an automobile accident when returning home from Nevada Kay Mar and Mary Jean Willis attended the wedding of the Dick Gouldings in Salt Lake City Kay Mar was best man for the groom. |
