Show Panguitch Patter Fay and Verd Worthen conducted a Shaklee Meeting in Idaho Falls and visited their son, Jim and Rahee Worthen in Pocatello. Enroute home they stopped in Salt Lake City to a State Beekeeping meeting. Kenny .ind Randy Miller and family and Edra Miller went to Lake Powell over the weekend While ther they saw the Kent Mclnelleys and the Jack Sopers among others spending the weekend. Gerald and Marlene lxwis and children spent the Memorial holiday with Marlene's mother, Lyle Miller Other visitors at her home were their friends Wes and Joan Coppage and daughter and Jack and Marie Owens and Patty Brady, all from Henderson, Nev Lida Owens had Dr. Evert and Janet Frost from Ortles New Mexico visiting for Jeff's graduation. The Maloy Dodds family presented the program in the Third Ward sacrament meeting. Also visiting them were Jan Dodds and Steve and Marty Dodds and family and the David Dodds. Steve and Marty also visited herparents, Dr. and Mrs. Vermon Barney. The 49'ers day proved to be quite successful. This is the first time the event was held in years and hopefully it will not be the last. By holding the event this year ideas for the holiday were discussed and plans are to make it even a bigger and better celebration the last Saturday of May in 1979. Rvean Sheets, sister to Maxine Crosby and Kathaleen Shumway from Upland, Calif, visited with the Jay Crosbys last week. Also visiting were Mr. and Mrs Norman Crosby and family, Orem and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Bailey, Kyle, Milford. Alta Orton visited in Circleville with relatives and decorating graves. Mr. and Mrs Wally Orton, Kanab spent Monday in town. Jim and Delia Hatch are home after being up north for nine months They plan to spend the summer. Jay and Maud Dickinson have moved back from California to spend the summer in Panguitch. Evan and Nickie Ex-cell, Price and the Max Excells, Cokevilie, Wyo Barbara and Don Marshall, Richfield spent time at James Excells Shawna Crosby and boys were visiting the Dick Excells LaRue Smith and Stephanie, Las Vegas attended the graduation of her daughters Dixie and Tammy Veater. Bruce and Florence Parker, Logan visited in Panguitch for a while. Iva and Frank Clein visited in Panguitch. They said they came down to visit the dead and spent their time at Edna Clarks house. Mrs Clark said she's not that far over the hill yet. Mr. and Mi s, Jay Riggs and daughters Martha and Kathy recently returned from an ex tended trip to Jacksonville, Florida to visit the Fred G. Riggs family. They revisited in Parcoa City, Okla , with Howard Foy's family and took Patricia Foy and daughter with them to Florida Mr. adn Mrs. dared Finlison and eight children of Syracuse, Ut. were over night visitors at the Jay Riggs home. Also visiting for Memorial Day were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dally, Summit and Mr. and Mrs. Mark Dalley and daughter of Cedar City and Mr. and Mrs. Shirl Fox, Circleville. The Robert Orton family of Salt Lake City were visitors at the Frank Ortons in Panguitch. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Cameron of Springdale were visitors in town. The Larry Blacks of Richfield were visitors at the Alden Black home. Donald and Toni Stowell and Sean, Poncoa City, Okla , visited with Meriel Stowell for a week. Mark Henrie and Lynn Harding were made priests in the Panguitch Second LDS Ward Speakers were stake officers. Everyone under the age of 18 passenger or driver must wear a helmet on a motor bike. Doug Roe is working at Bryce Canyon as a ranger. Russell Roe has completed 10 weeks at squardron officers training at Marwell Field Ala. He is moved back at Florence AFB He and his wife spent the ten weeks in Alabama during the worst part of the winter missing the rough season in Maine. Visiting the Algia Myers and the Hatches were Paul and Mamie Hjorth and Lynn and Keith Davies. |
