Show Shades of the past are displayed In Yesteryear Square as it becomes a showcase for all handicraft Hems for the local residents and those Yesteryear Square brings a bit of Panguitch heritage in yesteryear style by featuring the unique and unusual items in an old time atmosphere. "This is the opportunity for anyone to sell their handicrafts regardless of the size or amount," Jim Blake, manager said. The building that houses the business was built in the late 1880's and has been used for a variety of business throughout the years besides having been used as a school room for the children in Panguitch. The Jerry Price's and the Jim Blakes have remodeled the inside of the building into a beautiful rustic interior adding living away from Panguitch also. The place features unique and unusual Items In an old time atmosphere Panguitch Heritage Is Recalled in 'Square9 to the uniqueness of the business. Included in the business is an old fashioned ice cream parlor with a wide variety of hand dipped ice cream products; a ceramics workshop with lessons available and a wooden toy workshop. Adding to the nostalgic atmosphere are antiques, Indian crafts, candies, herbs and sprouters, handmade silk roses, wood burning stoves, rustic lumber for shelves and buildings and the Busy Bee's Shop. The Busy Bee's run by Lynn Beauregard and Kit Puiton features hand crafted gifts and corn dolls, small items to be used in cake and interior decorating, pet rocks and kits for making ojos and sand paintings. Shades of the past are displayed in Yesteryears Square as it becomes a showcase for all handicraft items for the local residents and state of Utah. It is open from 10 a m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. Proprieters are Jim and Sharron Blake and Jerry and Dona Price. Proposed plans are an old fashioned penny arcade, delicatessan, in a general store setting and a health food bar. |
