Show Hatch Happenings Heva Lowder Our ward celebrated the 24 of July or Pioneer Day on July X. The Primary children were over the parade. They had races and presented a lovely program and fish pond. The afternoon sports and games were by the MIA. At 6 p.m. a barbeque dinner was enjoyed by a large crowd of local folks and many from out of town. Speakers In sacrament meeting were Loyd, Lyle, Beth and Darol Allred, a special song by Julia Wise. Friday Beth and Lloyd Allred, Janet and Kristen Houston went to Cedar City and met the plane Darol arrived on. He came to Hatch with them to visit the Oliver Huntingtons. Other visitors with them were Pat Dix, Roberta, April and Kristy Barabas, Mr. and Mrs. Dee Houston, Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Henrie, Panguitch; Fern Crawford; Mr. and Mrs. Ron Russell, St. George; Barbara and Summer Williams. Cedar City, Janet Houston and children, Montana. Visiting at the Grant Daltons during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Ned Dalton, the Wayne Ftehners, Las Vegas; the Gale Wilcocks, Fountain Green; Ralph Wilcock and Lisa Crane, Panguitch; the Norman Hendersons and the David Christians and the Gib Darks, Kanab. Dee Roundy, St. George. The Bruce Daltons had at their home the Bob Talbots, Murray; Mr. and Mrs. John and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Bailey, Milford; the Pat Prices, Cedar City and the Ronnie Baileys, Santa Clara. The Deloy Evans, Hurricane visited Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Evans. Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bailey, Minersville; the Max Burrows, Fredonia; Karleta and Rebecca Riggs, Panguitch visited the Karl Lowders. Reva accompanied the Vay Sawyers to Kanab after they had visited the Arnold Sawyers and other relatives here. Company at the Bob Evans were the David Evans, American Fork; the Steven Evans, New Castle; the Gary Robinsons, and the Dean Johnsons, Hawthorne, Nev. ; the Eddie Lyddles, Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Vance Evans, the Buster Evans and two friends, Salt Lake City visited several days in town with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Gifford, j Ivins and Kendall Gifford, Sprinfdale visited at the Sam Evans home. Visiting Effel Riggs were the Philip Robertsons, Cedar City; the Dei ton Campbells, Cedar City; Thalia and Jens Mickelsen. Nephl. Effel accompanied the Mlckelsons home to visit. Susie Quigley, Calif, visited her mother Mrs. Faye Quigley. Diane Lopec, Calif, is staying with the Quigleys for a visit. Mr. and Mrs. Mem Bowers and Lillian Ballatore, Salt Lake City are visiting the Eric Barn hursts. The LaVor Deuels, Calif, are visiting his mother, Mrs. Idonna Deuel and family. Mrs. Abbie Fallis had a house full of company, the Francis Simmons, Idaho; the Mark Fallis, the Jim Burgins, the Lonnie Fallis, Salt Lake City; Julia Wise and the Stanley Halls, West Point, Utah; Mr. and Mrs. Thayne Imily, Grantsvllle and LaVerne Blackburn, Sunset. The Val Mangums, St. George were visitors with his mother Beth Mangum. Left out last week that the Ivor Riggs family and Ardell Riggs attended funeral services in Orem for Lela Brown. They visited several days in Orem. This week Kay Brown and sons, the Oscar Larsens, Orem, the Dan Chipmans, Canada and the Wallace Heaps, Cedar City visited the Riggs here. The Dale Porters visited Mrs. Riggs and his brother and sister Francis and Diann. Visitors with the Garth Heaps and the Calvin Wilsons were Mr. and Mrs. LaGrand Wood and family; Anne Rives and family, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Weideman and family, Nicki and Frank Micalizzi, all , Nevada; Doris and Margaret Giles, Canada; the Wilford Lanes, Arizona; Laura Pendleton, St. George and at Maggie Barnhursts during the week were Mr. and Mrs. Austin Barnhurst and grandson, the Lynn Muiers, Cedar City; Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Barnhurst, Salt Lake City; Joe Barnhurst, St. George. Joe will stay for awhile in his trailer house. Visiting the Nile Sawyers last week was grandson Rodney Savage, his parents, the Lynn Savages, Antimony visited them and took Rodney home. Wilson, w hile he and his wife Louise were serving an LDS mission at Taft, Calif. Funeral services were held for him in the Amabella Ward Chapel. The Clove Huntington Reunion was held here in the cultural hall with a program and a lovely dinner. There were a large group of family members there from far and near. The Samuel J. Barnhurst reunion was held here at the cultural hall on Saturday afternoon with a large group present. In the evening 124 descendants of the D. 11. Evans family held their reunion in the cultural hall with a delicious dinner. A program and dancing was held with a good orchestra.
