Show Henrieville Ella AdalrC74I3ll Eva Pollock spent the past week in Salt Lake City getting acquainted with a new granddaughter born to her daughter, Maureen and husband, Larvin and their other two daughters went toSalt Lake City Friday to bring her home. Violet Little Held and LaVar Ahlstrom are still patients in the Panguitch Memorial Hospital. The Lions Club will hold their annual Christmas party and ladies night in the scout house on Thursday, Dec. 18. The production of "Hello Dolly" presented by Southern Utah State College was one of the best of its kind to be presented in this area. Those who saw it were well pleased. The Ernest Ahlstroms have had their daughter Lois and husband with them for the past week. Don and Dixie Munson visited with the Silas Munsons this past week. The Primary officers and teachers had their annual Christmas party with their partners Friday evening in the church. Mr. and Mrs. Obie Shakespear have two new grandsons, one was born in Houston, Tex. to Mr. and Mrs. McKailiff Shakespear and the other in Cedar City to Mr. and Mrs. Vance Shakespear. L. Dee Shakespear has employment in Page, Ariz. The Chic McGowans had both of their parents visit with them over the weekend. The Lester Clarkes were in Salt Lake City visiting with relatives and on to Price to visit with their son, Wesley and wife. The James Thomas' have two of their daughters and children visiting with them. A ward dinner for the Mw man Pollocks was held Menifey evening In the cultural haH Beverly Thompson was released as a primary teacher and Cheri Feltner as primary chorister. M on Del Syrett was released as ward financial clerk. Sustained as Primary workers were: Jenny LeFevre and Na Dara llolman. Larry llolman is the new ward financial clerk. Claud Brandon Sudweeks. son of Mr. and Mrs. Berel Sudweeks and Douglas Dahl McGowan, son of Mr. and Mrs Chic McGowan, were blessed and received their names in church, Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Meridith and daughter, parents of Alice McGowan and Mr. and Mrs. Meridith, parents of Chic McGowan spent the weekend in Tropic and were in church for the naming of their grandson. The Tropic ward Relief Society Chorus will present a Christmas musical program, "A Gift of Love", in the Tropic Ward Chapel Sunday evening, Dec. 21, at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend this free musical program. A chorus of 30 members, plus a reader, wil take part. Mrs. Cheri Feltner is the conductor, with Rella Alvey as president and Verland Munson, secretary. |
