A Problem. A man bought CO chickens nt the rate of G for $2, making them cost $21. A week later ho wished to sell them, nnd divided them In two equal lots. Tho first ho sold at tho rate of 3 for $1, which equaled $10, and tho other half he sold nt the rato of 2 for $1, which amounted to $15. Hy this trans action ho sold them G for $2, und yet made $1 on the whole. Solution: Ho bought CO chickens at the rate of G for $2, making $21. Sold half at rato of 2 for $1, making $1G, and tho other hnlf 3 for $1, making $10, thus selling G for $3, and making $1 profit.
