M, Battie. both of scofied. The suit is the result of the school election held at that place on July 13th, when both of the gentlemen named were running on opposite tickets for the oflice of trustee. Seventy-two votes were cast, thirty-I seven of which were cast in favor of Mr, Hood, and thirty-five for Mr. Bat-tie, Bat-tie, f he judges of the election refused to count the votes for Hood because the term of the office was n-H stated on the ticket on which his name appeared. ap-peared.
