Show THE SALT LAKE TRIBUNE JUNIOR SUNDAY MORNING APRIL 5 1938 Page Eleven Eagle Saves Life of Boy As Reward Little Ducks little boy about the age of was walking in his garden when he heard an eagle flying overhead happily Taking out his slingfchot he said: “My he’d make a fine pet” He glanced at the eagle for a moment undecided Then he put his slingshot In his pocket and walked away This was probably because he felt sorry for the bird and maybe it was because his mother had taught him to love animals and birds Next moment he found himself In front of a big waterfall As he looked over he started to fall As he fell he heard an eagle flapping its wings above the noise of the water The bird swooped down on the helpless boy and in a minute he found himself high above the trees He was almost frantic at the plight he was in However the eagle put him down safely on the ground and fle-- away The boy was saved Saved by the bird he had thought to kill!
