She graduated from Uintah High School in 1993 and is currently employed at UBET Cellular. The groom is the son of Randy and Kathy Deets. He also graduated from Uintah High School with the class of 1993 and is now employed by Schlumberger. A reception following the wedding. The young couple will make their home in Vernal. Cory and Scott McKee went to Genoa to spend the weekend with Corys family, the Thomases. The DUP meeting was held Nov. 12 at the home of Camp Pres and Captain Emma Wilson. Fourteen members were in attendance. Margaret Elison has been ill with the flu. The Young Women of the YWMIA held their evening of excellence recently in the cultural hall. Billie Sue Perry is helping to sponsor a safety program for LaPoint School. Many are involved in this. Darwin and Merrilli McKee spent Friday and Saturday in Salt Lake City. They visited Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Merrell. They found the Vietnam Memorial and the Jefferson monuments the most moving and that they held a lot of significance for them. They saw the Capitol and the White House. On Sunday, the family rented a car and drove to Colonial Williamsburg, which also held many memories for them. The village was restored, and people in y costumes acted as former colonial people, and explained what they were doing. The Morrills shopped in the Potomac Mills outlet mall, which is the largest outlet mall in America. They also saw the Atlantic Ocean. On Nov. 11, they flew back to Salt Lake and drove home again, with many memories. Of course they all want to go back there again. Wanda and Keith Bastian are the proud grandparents of their first grandson, born Nov. 10, weighing 8 lbs, 8 ozk, and measuring 20 inches long. He will answer to the name of Jake Keith Zobell. His mom is Betty Jo Bastian Zobell and his dad is Jeff Zobell of Vernal. Well, at the same time, Sherri Morrill took her two oldest children, Jackie and Adam, on Friday, Nov. 6 to Salt Lake where they boarded the plane to Washington DC. Every Tuesday for three weeks a few words ofthe phrase will be displayed. The catch, of course, is that the order the words are in will be scrambled. On the fourth week, all previously released words will be removed and additional new words for the same phrase will be posted. On the fifth week more new words will be provided. Participants will need to visit the store each week to gather the words. Any timeduringthe five weeks, ifyou think you can solve the puzzle phrase, enter your name and the phrase on an entry form below or at any participating business. On the day ofthe contest deadline, Thursday, Dec. 1 7 at 1 1 a.m. the first correct entry drawn will win a prize from each participating business.
