Dropping from an enrollment of 170 to 130 is definitely a justifiable reason for Altamont High to move back to 1A. With Altamont leaving, Region 13 will be left with only four teams. The Utah High School Activities Association is studying a proposal to realign clasB regions for football, baseball and softball for the next two years. The association's board of directors is expected to make final approval in January. The change will not effect the Grantsville, North Summit, South Summit, Grand and Juan Diego (a private school in Draper). ' Division 2 would be South Sevier, North Sevier, Gunnison, Manti, Juab, San Juan and Monticello. Division 3 would have the rest of 2A, Kanab, Enterprise, Milford, Parawon, Beaver and Millard. The realignment will effect Duchesne High school in bus miles. Instead of the four and five hour rides to Blanding and Monticello will be replaced with trips to Grantsville, Kamas, Coalville and Draper. Two to three hour trips. basketball teams as much as the other programs. Under the proposed change the remaining teams would have to replace (or bye) the games with Altamont in the next two seasons. Control the lead hand and you take away his offense. I want speed on the mat now poet hard. Remember that and practice it some more, he said to his wrestlers during a workout session. The hip throw only works if a guy is pushing on you. You got to push so he pushes back and you flip him over. Got to push. Coach Burdett also said, Dont go straight on and hit to his power. It is better to hit on an angle. Go here and hit a different direction. Use your head and hands and drive this way. Come up and drive. Now grab a partner and go through it. Come up at 90 degrees. Drop at a knee and do the whole thing. Get a good stance. Ready, move, shoot, come up and go. Go this way and then the other. Get a partner, ready , to snap it up and go. Full speed-g- ot push. Crane on, snap it up. Do you want to be here until 6:30 p.m.?
