Gilson I He is survived by his five sons and five daughters, Ray Glen Gilson of Marysville, Wash.; Buddy Dean Gilson of San Antonio, Texas; William Jay Gilson of Price; Larry Kent Gilson and Mrs. Paul (Jean) Rodriguez, both of East Carbon; Michael Stephen Gilson of Rangley, Colo.; Mrs. Gilbert (Patricia) Trujillo of Delta; Mrs. William (Glenna) Dickson of Price; Mrs. Ray (Judy) Vernon of Tuba City, Ariz.; Mrs. Bruce (Sally) Anderson of Sandy. Also survived by 36 grandchildren; severtwo al Twin of Gilson John brothers, Falls, Idaho; and Robert Gilson of Helper. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Lila Gilson. Funeral services were held on Saturday, May 13. Burial, Santa-quiCity Cemetery. Glen Clifford Gilson, 80, died May 9, 1989 in Price, lie was born on March 27, 1909 in lloneyville, Utah, a son of John and Goldie Hep worth Gilson. lie married Ruth Sudweeks and was later divorced. He married Agnes Johnson and was later divorced. lie worked for Union Pacific Railroad and lived in Milford, Utah. Later, he worked at building houses. He had also worked at Book ClifTMine at East Carbon, then moved to Provo where he lived for 20 years, and returned to East Carbon where he had resided for the past five years. He was a member of the LDS Church. He was also a member of the United Mine Workers of America. He was a sportsman and mechanic. Dug-wa- Emily Merelda Peart Dumas Emily Merelda Peart Dumas, 89, died May 12, 1989 in Salt Lake City of causes incident to age. She was born Nov. 16, 1899 in Draper, Utah to Leander and Elizabeth Boulter Peart. She married Arlo Dumas in Salt Lake City, Nov. 15, 1917. During their married life they made their home in Sandy, Draper, and for the last 15 years they had lived in Green River. She was a member of the LDS Church and the DUP. She enjoyed writing poetry, music, doing needlework and genealogy. She was dearly loved by everyone and will be missed by all her family and friends. Survivors include her children, Dorothy Growcock of Ogden; Lola Walje of West Valley; Douglas Dumas of South Jordan; Lynn Dumas of Cedar Fort; Jean Thompson and Norma Dean Hawkinson, both of Green River; Carolee Luhrs of Las Vegas; and Ben Dumas of Egypt. Also survived by 35 grandchildren, 104 and 8 She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlo, and sons, Arlo Lee, Walter Ray and Charles Glen. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 16 at 1 p.m. in the Green River LDS Chapel where friends may call one hour prior to services. Burial will be in the Elgin Cemetery. great-grandchildr- Helen MacKnight Smith Wadleigh Sophia Cadez Kotar Helen MacKnight Smith Wadleigh died May 11, 1989 of causes incident to age. She was bom April 15, 1903 in Salt Lake City, to Joseph F. and Katherine Heystek MacKnight. During her early years Mrs. Wadleigh lived with her family in Salt Lake City and Los Angeles, Calif. They returned to Utah and resided in Vernal before moving to Price in 1912. Mrs. Wadleigh attended the University of Utah after graduating from Carbon High School. She married Arthur N. Smith March 25, 1924. He died Nov. 6, 1954. She married Dwight W. Wadleigh Dec. 29, 1959. He died Jan. 7, 1971. She was active in her community and was a member of the LDS Church, serving in the MIA and Relief Society. She worked as a postal clerk in the Price Post Oflice, was past president of the Ladies of Elks, Literary League and the Junior Club Women of Utah. She worked as a manager of the State Tax Commission office in Price for 6 years. She is survived by three sons, Henry M. Smith of Bountiful; A. Neal Smith of Kaysville; and Thomas F. Smith of Tempe, Ariz. She has nine grandchildren and eight Also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Virginia Findley of Yakima, Wash.; and Mrs. Eldon (Kathryn) Hanson of Las Cruces, N.M. She was preceded in death by parents, two brothers, Hal G. MacKnight and William F. MacKnight. Funeral services yere May 15. Burial in the Price City Cemetery. Trujillo July 23, 1935 in Blanco, N.M. Member of the Catholic Church. Resident of Carbon County since 1947. She also worked in various cafes in Price. Survived by husband, Mike R. Trujillo, Price; brother, Herman Archunde, Blanco, N.M.; son, Leonard Trujillo, Blanco, N.M.; seven daughters, Priscilla Fausett Wall, Provo; Glory Ames, Riverton; Shirley Fausett, American Fork; Leova Barnett, Price; Irene Kokal, Spring Glen; Jane Christensen, Price; and Linda Gomez, Price. Also survived by 26 grandchildren and 24 greatgrandchildren. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, 10 a.m., Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church. Bertha Popernak Motto Bertha Popernak Motto, 86, at a Price hospital. e Born March 12, 1903 in to Andrew & Bona Lipov-sk- i Popernak. Married John Motto in 1945. He preceded her in death. Member of the Catholic Church, lived in Price since 1981. Survived by sister, Anna Warren, of Price. Mass of the Christian Burial and Holy Rosary were held in Rock Springs, Wyo. on Sunday and Monday. CARBONVILLE Sophia Subic Cadez Kotar, 96, died May 12, 1989. Arrived in Murray May 30, 1912. Married Joseph Cadez in the Salt Lake Catholic Cathedral June 5, 1912; he died October, 1925. Later married John Kotar; he died May 30, 1972. She was an avid reader and crocheted beautiful afghans for her family and friends up until her 95th birthday. Member, SNPJ Lodge 689, Helper since 1915 where she served as secretary for many years. For the past eight years she lived with her daughter, A1 dene Thomas. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Survived by daughter, Aldene; sons, Stanley Cadez, Max Cadez, Price; 10 grandchildren; 35 greatgrandchildren; 12 sister, Ana Richar, Lyjudljana, Yugoslavia.
