Show H A SAMPLE OF FARM WISDOM. B The mistake made in our magazines fl by half baked city Ibrcd writers when M writing on 'form topics is sometimes m very ludicrous. An illustration is H found in the October number of H World's Work. There is an intensely H interesting article there on "Seven H ' and. One-Half Billions From the m Ifyrms." The amusing part of the H write-up is the half page view of "A B Dairy Farm in Iowa" with the cattle B a)l broad homed, truculent Hereford. H The,. Hereford 'as a, dairy cpw! Yc H (Sods, it is to weep. The writer had the pleasure of showing Senator Carey of Wyoming, over tljc dry farms of Juab ridge last week. The Senator is a mighty intelligent in-telligent and progressive scientific farmer, and owns a ranch of no small dimensions in our neighboring state. He expressed great hopes for the future fu-ture of dry farming and rejoiced in the success already achieved. The soil in Juab ridge, in the Senator's opinion can not be excelled anywhere in the west. |
