On : Tuesday night of this week, Bountiful High was to have met John Robison and his Davis Darts in a game that has as much bearing on the league title as diamonds do with rings. The game was set at 7:30 p.m. Going into the last evening of play. Bountiful, Davis and View-- ; mont were all tied at the top of the league standings with 3 marks. If Viewmont were to beat Highland on Tuesday night, then of course there would be a y tie for the league crown. The Vikings will be hoping to trim the Rams and also hope Bountiful can clip the Darts, thus leaving the Vikes as the Region Four champion by virtue of their two victories over Bountiful this season. If Davis were to beat Bountiful and Viewmont were to win, then the Darts would advance into the state tournament as the number one team because of their two wins over Viewmont. Our destiny is in our own hands, said Davis Robison about the Tuesday night game, We win and we take first and if we lose, well end up in third place. The Darts failed to avoid the deadlock in the league race by losing to East 1 in overtime last Friday night in Salt Lake City. Davis led by a single point at the end of the first and second quarters, but trailed going into the final eight minutes. But the Darts made a respectable comeback and tied the game and sent it into overtime. Jeff Pearson led the Darts with 23 points and Brian Emery tallied 14 more.
