Parish, youngsters and oldsters alike are eagerly anticipatdays, Friing these two day and Saturday, June 13 and 14. Throughout both days, games and contests will be held. The Oquirrh Hills Ministerial Association is having a picnic at Jordan Park on June 17, at 5:39 p.m. Ministers of the area and their families will attend. The speaker for the month of June on the devotional program, sponsored by the Oquirrh Hills Ministerial Association, is Rev. Don Anderson from the Assembly of God Church in Kearns. Festivities get underway at the teen dance to be held on Friday, June 14, at 7:30, in the recreation hall. This dance is sponsored by the CYO. JoAnne Curley, daughter of Maor and Mrs. E. J. Curley, will be crowned as queen and her attendants will be Kathy Phillips and Ruby Jaramillo. They will reign over the next days activities. ;The activities get rolling Saturday morning at 9:30 a.m. when a parade leaves the Kearns Shopping Center headed west on 5400 South. The marchers will then turn north by the fire station and thence to St. Francis hall. There will be bingo for the children. The prizes will all be childrens prizes. Other activities will include games for kids of all ages. The outstanding comic event of the day will be the baseball game between the Kearns Little League and the Old Ladies Guild of St. Francis. There will be a talent show at 7 p.m. under the direction of Mrs. h DisJames Sheehan. A cartoon shown will be ney, during the day for an admission of 10c. Dick Hagen, chairman of the Kids Day activities, said that this year there will be a nursery for the toddlers. The nursery 'will be run by a registered nurse assisted by CYO baby sitters. There will be refreshments at very reasonable rates, and a place for the oldsters to rest and recuperate. A drawing will be held Saturday The time of Sunday services at St. Stephans Episcopal Mission will be changed from 10:30 to 9 a.m. for the summer. The first and third Sunday of the month will be Family Eucharist. There will be no Sunday School during the summer. Children too young to sit through services will be excused to play outside where they will be supervised. Bill Kittel, president of the EYC group at St. Stephans, was elected state president of the EYC Bill will conduct his first official act when he officiates at the State Executive Convention of the EYC to be held at Brighton on June 14, 15 and 16 Gene Shelby, of the St. Stephans will represent the mission. group, Episcopal Summer Camp will begin on June 16. The first group of boys and girls to attend will be camJrs consisting of tse,n,ic!r 19th, 11th, and 12th graders. This group will attend from June 16 to June 26. The camp will be open through July, according to Father Winder, dean of the camp. TTie womens auxiliary will hold their monthly meeting on the 11th at the home of Eva Daniels. They will discuss the booth they plan to maintain at the Granger Lions carnival this summer. This is the final meeting of the group for the summer. The first meeting in the Renaming of KNAK Radio, is scheduled for 7:30 Friday evening in the parish hall. A highlight of the dance will be the crowning of the Kids Day royalty: Miss Jo Ann Curley, queen. Miss Kathy Phillips and Miss Ruby Jaramillo, attendants. Tickets for the dance may be purchased from any parish CYO member, at the door Friday evening, or by calling CY Saturdays festivities will be kicked off with a parade forming at 9:30 a.m. in the Kearns Shopping Center. Special features Saturday. afternoon will be a comedy baseball game and a Disney movie.
