Pianist Lorin Hollander Sets Performance With Symphony Maurice Abravanel and the Utah Symphony will be joined by pianist Lorin Hollander Saturday for a program featuring works by Schubert, Beethoven and Brahms. The concert will begin at 8 p.m. in the Salt Lake Tabernacle. The concert will also be given in Ogden on Friday in the Val A. Browning Center for the Performing Arts at Weber State College and in Logan on Monday, Nov. 27, at the Chase Fine Arts Center. Both concerts are at 8 p.m. This season Lorin Hollander is performing with more than two dozen symphony orchestras on this continent, as well as giving recitals and conducting master classes on university campuses throughout the country. Mr. Hollander began playing the piano at the age of four and made his Carnegie Hall debut at the age of 11. He has had his own national recital series on PBS and is frequently seen on network programs such as "Today," "The Merv Griffin Show," and "The Mike Douglas Show."
