Siciliano, native Utahn now Undersecretary of Commerce in Washington billed as the headline attraction, the Provo Chamber of Commerce held its 49th annual banquet at the Eldred Center u'riday night. A native of Salt Lake City, Mr. Siciliano was appointed by President Nixon a year ago as undern aa a speaker, he is one of sevsecretary. eral Utahns holding prominent positions in the Nixon administration in Washington. Deli S. Ashworth, 1969 Chamber of Commerce president, was master of ceremonies at the banquet, attended by a large audience of Chamber of Commerce members, townspeople, and visitors. Wilson W. Soreasen, incoming president for 1970, spoke, briefly, pledging the best efforts of his administration in community leadership and service. Presentation of a number of Chamber of Commerce awards was handled by Dr. Milton Hartvigsen, assisted by N. La Verl Christensen, as a highlight of the evening. Mr. Ashworth introduced members of the 1969 and 1970 boards of directors. The outgoing president also expressed appreciation for the efforts and cooperation of the hundreds of men and women who were engaged in Chamber of Commerce work during the past year. Mr. Redford, who was out of state, was honored with a scroll citing his contribution as an actor, and as a resident and businessman in Utah County.
