Jones hit 440 for the Bruins and had 9 homeruns which put him among one of the best hitters in the state. Jones is the first Bruin recruited by the local college since Ryan Roberts siffnine in 1992. The Orem Lightning soccer team won the AA U-12 competition and went undefeated into tournament play, where they lost only one out of eight games. (Front row) Jeff Cam, Brett Dahl, Brandon Robbins. iryinsivin automotive tourney Mountain View's "A" Automotive team won the Olympus Olym-pus Invitational Tournament over the Memorial Day weekend with an exciting come from behind be-hind victory and a 4-0 record. The Bruins began the tournament tour-nament with an 11-3 victory over Taylorsville as Taylor Ehat went six innings on the mound to get the victory. On the second day of the tournament, the Bruins beat Jordan 13-4 as Chris Hunter and Jason Sundberg combined to shut down the Beetdiggers. In their second game of the day, they beat the host team Olympus Olym-pus 11-6 as Adam Jensen and Brent Attaway combined to get the win. The Bruins were trailing trail-ing 5-1 when they exploded for four runs in the fourth inning and five runs in the fifth to put the game out of reach. The final day of the tournament tourna-ment found the Bruins playing Hunter, the winner of the opposite op-posite bracket. This game turned out to be an excellent baseball game as both teams, had their 'aces' on the mound. After six innings, Taylor Ehat had given up no runs and had ten strikeouts, to no avail as he was matched pitch for pitch by Hunter's hurler. Hunteropened the seventh inning with a couple Orem girls individual basketball camp The Orem girls basketball : camp will be held June 3-7. Third through Fifth grade will be at 8:00-9:30. Sixth through eighth grade will be at 9:30-11:00. 9:30-11:00. Ninth through twelfth grade will be 11:30-1:30. The cost of the camp will be $30.00. It will be held in the Orem High School main gym.
