Public ruuM' Notice to the public of public hearing and availability of environmental study on the proposed construction of a westbound port of entry on I-80 near Castle Rock in Summit County. Project No. IR-80-4(63) 197. The Utah Department of Transportation herewith advises all interested persons or groups that is proposes to construct a new state of the art port of entry approximately 9 miles southwest of the UtahWyoming border on 1-80, at mile marker 188, to replace the existing port located at the state line. The project elements include the construction of a new port building and an inspection building, exit and entrance ramps to 1-80, and circulation roads and Barking areas for heavy trucks. A DOT road maintenance facility will also be constructed adjacent to the proposed port. The project will require the acquisition of approximately 64 acres of right-of-way. The governing officials of Summit County are aware of this ?roject. he public is herewith advised that a Public Hearing conducted by the Utah Department of Transportation to discuss the Environmental Study prepared for this project and the location and design features of the proposed improvements will be held on Thursday, May 13, 1993 at 7:30 p.m. in the Summit County Courthouse, Old Courtroom, 60 North Main Street, Coalville, Utah. Information to be presented at the hearing will include a discussion of the location and design alternatives considered and their environmental consequences Appropriate illustrative materials will be available for inspection. During the hearing, verbal andor written testimony pertaining to the features of the proposed project or to its social, economic and environmental effects will be received from all interested persons or groups. Any person or group unable to attend the public hearing, but ; wishing to give testimony pertinent to the aforementioned project, may do so in writing.
