Show . The Park Record D Section B Thursday, April 8, 1993 0 Page B9 Women Voters luncheon The League of Women Voters of Salt Lake will host a "State of the Community" luncheon and present a community service award on April 29 at the Olympus Hotel, 161 West 600 South, Salt Lake City. This year, for the first time, the League will honor individuals or agencies which exemplify the League's commitment to good government, active, informed citizenship and service to voters. Because members of the media made an important contribution to the public during the last campaign by presenting vital information on candidates and issues, this year's award recipients will be from the television and radio media--Ken Verdoia of KUED Public Television and Blair Feulner of KPCW Radio in Park City. Featured speaker for the event will be James E. Shelledy, Editor of the Salt Lake Tribune, who will speak on "The State of the Community" with questions to follow from the audience. Cost for the luncheon and program will be $20. It will start at 11:30 a.m. and will end at 1:30 p.m. The public is invited. Reservations available by calling 486-6896 or 272-8683.
